![]() ![]() ![]() #Front mission 4 pnach ps3So I heard that PS2 -> PS3 memory card adapters can be plugged into a computer and used to copy off memory card files are those files compatible with PCSX2? I know the GameCube version of Killer 7 is a little better and all, but since I'll be emulating the game anyways the differences don't mean much to me (since I won't be using a GameCube controller with either emulator). Thanks for the info! The people in the Dolphin thread said to go with PCSX2 as well so I'll give it a whirl. On Dolphin the game requires the use of the DSP LLE audio plugin for correct sound emulation, which makes it significantly more CPU-demanding. That said, I've never had trouble running Killer 7 in Dolphin on any of my systems, but I've never tried it in PCSX2 since the GC version is generally so much better in the first place. I'd personally favour PS2 emulation since I'd love to play Burnout Revenge again too (although looking up a few posts apparently it doesn't work very well? ) but given my hardware, I'll spring for whatever will run best for me.įrom what I've experienced, it really varies from game to game and setup to setup. #Front mission 4 pnach PcI've got the urge to play Killer 7 again, and since it's available for both PS2 and GameCube, I was wondering which emulator is better for somebody that doesn't have a very powerful computer? I'm using an iMac, which isn't terribly powerful (well, compared to the average PC anyways) so any information would be appreciated! I'd be installing the emulator onto Windows 7 if it matters. It's a shame the cutscenes aren't in engine.ĭoes anybody know what's more taxing on hardware, the Dolphin emulator or a PS2 emulator? You should be getting close to 95/100% framerate during most of the game, poo poo water textures (like glowing garbage textures), and about 0.01-2 fps when night vision goggles are equipped.īeen playing Killer 7 lately, looks great upscaled. Also, the framerate in the initial cutscene was always bad, got better during gameplay. ![]() It worked smoothly when I tried it a couple of years ago, but night vision goggles *hosed* the framerate. Speaking of builds for specific games has anyone managed to get Metal Gear Solid 3 working smoothly? Don't really want to drop £40 on the HD collection when all I want is Snake Eater. Gyoru fucked around with this message at 15:14 on Mar 29, 2012 I've already had some success with a few games like Wizardry and Persona 3 FES. The basic gist of it is finding the game's 4:3 aspect ratio in memory and changing width to 16:9. You need to have some familiarity with memory editing. It's for making your own widescreen hacks. There's a very well written tutorial up now here: pnach's in those threads, just change the filename to match. If your Game CRC differs from the already supplied. pnach files (PCSX2 cheats) work then you shouldn't have a problem. #Front mission 4 pnach how toI'll edit this post with a more detailed guide on how to apply them later, but if you're familiar with how. There has been some nice progress on patching in widescreen support on various games these past 2 weeks. ![]()
